The monument to Viliam Šulek and Karol Holuby commemorates the revolutionary events of the eighth year, during which several Slovak volunteers were executed. This sandstone monolithic quadrangular monument in the shape of a gradually expanding pillo and finished with a stylized torch is the work of academic sculptor Dušan Jurkovič. The monument was placed in its place in 1928 and replaced the original oak cross.
