The project documentation was approved in 1977. The Budmerice reservoir was built in 1980 to accumulate water for irrigation of land, filling and rinsing the Hájiček pond, for sport fishing and to ensure a minimum flow in Gidra below the Hájiček pond. Located in altitude 190 m. The body of the dam consists of a front dam (along the Hájiček pond) in the length of 976 m and a side dam (along the Gidra stream) in the length of 1000 m. The area of the water surface varies in the range of 30 - 50 Ha depending on the height of the water level in the tank, the average value is 40 Ha. The maximum depth is in the fishery at full level is 5.5 m. At maximum filling, the amount of accumulated water is 2,200,000 m3, the minimum is 141,000 m3. The average value of the volume of water in the tank is 1,000,000 m3. Evaporation from the water surface can reach 8-10 mm per day.
