The Lindava Nature Reserve with the 5th degree of protection covers an area of 46.2 ha and was declared in 1984 for the protection of preserved forest communities with characteristic forest types for scientific research, educational and cultural-educational purposes. The Lindava Nature Reserve is for the most part part of the territory of European importance Lindava, whose total area is 378.46 ha and the 2nd and 5th degree of protection applies in it. The subject of protection are specifically Carpathian and Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests, Eurosiberian oak forests.
