Janek Kráľ's partisan group was formed in Bratislava on May 30, 1942. It camped over Zochova chata and from June 6, 1942 on the Prostredník hill (403 m above sea level) above the village of Píla. The group was not well organized and did not participate in any combat operations. At the beginning of July 1942, the group was ordered to move to Považský Inovec and subsequently to central Slovakia. The transfer began on July 13, 1942, and four days later the group at Chtelnice was disarmed and arrested by a gendarme patrol. The group had 17 members, its commander was Jaroslav Hlinenský (1912 - 1945) and later high school professor Alexander Markuš (1913 - 1945). Both died on February 19, 1945 during the bombing of the transport of political prisoners to the Mauthausen concentration camp. The group later resumed its activities and during the SNP in the autumn of 1944 it was led by Vendelín Lančarič from Dolné Orešany.
