Today's Smolenice also includes the agglomerated Smolenická Nová Ves (Neštich). The Jewish community was not one of the larger ones in them. Unlike other settlements, however, throughout its existence until the period of the Slovak state, it maintained a relatively constant number. The Jewish cemetery in Smolenice is located on the edge of the castle park. Sometimes it was protected by a wooden fence. There were more than two dozen grave sites on it in about five rows. The tombstones in the cemetery today are mostly damaged.
