History
Smolenická family tomb with the Chapel of St. Vendelína is dated by an inscription on the facade of the chapel, which reads: For eternal rest for oneself and oneself. Jozef Pálfi, Count of Erdőd. 1896. Jozef Pálfi (1853-1920) began building the family tomb in 1894 on the site of an older chapel from the 18th century, which was also dedicated to St. Vendelín and came from the time of the ownership of the Smolenický estate by the Erdődy family.
