We will get here from several directions. Access is undisturbed and safe on good field roads from Majcichov, Hoste, Opoja or Vlčkoviec. This applies to even cyclists. The nearest walk is from the village of Hoste about 2 km. Not far from the water area, the Derňodudvážský canal flows, from which the Šárd stream flows close and begins its journey. Šárd flows into Dolib Saliby to Salibský Dudváh. The Derňodudvážský canal connects Dolný Dudváh near Hosta and the Derňa stream near the nearby Malý háj.
