The ceremonial handover of the building took place on October 4, 1902. At that time, there was also the first public meeting of the city council. The ceremonial speech was delivered by the notary of the city, who expressed his joy that the city or the municipality has finally been given a permanent official room where it can start working undisturbed. This fulfilled the desire, which is several decades old. The municipal police rooms were located on the side of the courtyard, there was a police station and two prison cells. They were closed to those who disturbed the peace of the street. the office rooms of the village were actually located on the floor. The building has been renovated several times over the years. It was modernized in 1958. Representatives of the town (governors, burghers, chairmen, mayors) were: the governor of the Danube Central and Nemesszeg districts in the years 1801-1808 was Ferenc Sztriha, the governor of Tejeda János Bazsó. In later years, the mayors were Mihály Túróczi, Ádám Petényi, Dániel Bíró, Simon Orosz, Vince Bazsó, Lőrinc Molnár. From 1923 to 1932, Albert Patassy was mayor, and from 1932 to 1945, Lajos Srenker. After the liberation, the Board of Commissioners appointed Jozef Smida as the chairman of the local national committee, who headed the church until January 31, 1951. Štefan Sever was elected chairman for him. During the elections to the local national committees in 1957, Tomáš Mátis was elected chairman, who was in office until 1960. In 1960, Ladislav Rehák was elected chairman, then in 1964, Jozef Gyurcsik. Ladislav Rehák was given the position of secretary. In 1994, the creation of a new appearance of the city got into a serious state of planning. The reconstructions of the architect Makovecz planned the return of the old patina of Hlavná street. Among the city's plans was, among other things, the reconstruction of the town hall. Radical social changes after November 17, 1989 also affected the further life of the city. On December 15, 1989, the plenum of the Municipal National Committee elected engineer Arpád Tilajcsik as the new chairman of the Municipal National Committee. The year 1990 was already marked by systemic changes. Then the complete reconstruction of the plenum began. At its meeting on 28 February, the plenary session elected Arpád Öllős, chairman of the Municipal National Committee, a candidate for the Independent Hungarian Initiative, whom he held in the first free municipal elections on 23-24. November 1990 elected the mayor of the city, who served in the municipal elections in 1994. Of the six candidates for the post of mayor of the city, the citizens in the municipal elections in 1994 elected engineer Petr Pázmány as the new mayor of the city, who served as mayor in 1990-2009. . The current mayor of the city JUDr. Zoltán Hájos was elected on April 25, 2009.
