The history of the originally Baroque building, later renovated into a burgher house, is truly remarkable. During Bethlehem's uprising, the Hungarian royal crown was kept here. During the 20th Century, the building became the home of the composer Mikuláš Schneider - Trnavský, who in 1909 took the place of regenschóri, organist and villain, in the church of St. Mikuláš, where he regularly performed and became the author of several sacred compositions. Today you will not find this famous composer in the building, but his life and works will be introduced to you by an exhibition dedicated to him. In addition, you have the opportunity to discover the meaning and hidden origins of the American national musical instrument - the guitar of good. You will get to know the life of its creator and native Ján Šjer from Šaštín, called John Dopyer in America. In addition to the exhibition space, there is also the music department of the Juraj Fándly Library, providing a wealth of information from the world of music.
