It was founded in the 13th century and became the center of administration of a large castle estate. He also made history by torturing participants in the religious uprising of the subjects from Turej Lúka and Senice in 1672 and by imprisoning Protestant priests convicted by the Bratislava court in the galleys two years later. At the end of the 17th century, the castle burned down. Gradually, they removed the furniture from it, demolished the fortifications and let the building decay. It has not been inhabited since the beginning of the 18th century. From the individual buildings there are only the remains of the perimeter walls and some more continuous parts of the lower castle. After a short and easy climb to the castle hill, visitors are offered a wide circular view with a panorama of the Myjava Uplands and the White Carpathians.
