After the violent interruption of the family tradition, Majer Zemianske Sady is currently run jointly by the fourth and fifth generation. In the interwar period, our wines were sold under the brand name K trom boxerom and were also popular in Prague's artistic circles.
We started to restore the wine heritage in 1997. My parents revitalized the vineyards and in 2010 we produced the first wine in the original cellar under the brand Slobodné vinárstvo.
We perceive wine as a living organism. In production, we place emphasis on craftsmanship, on understanding natural processes. We do not try to change them. All our wines ferment naturally, with our own yeast. We do not add any oenological preparations to them, which so-called "beautify" their aroma and taste.
From the beginning, we have also been engaged in the production of orange wines - wines from white varieties that ferment on the skins. Fermentation on the skins naturally led us to the Georgian Kvevri - hand - made clay amphorae, which we buried in Majer in the autumn of 2014.
