The whole journey behind the mills follows almost only the local roads with little traffic. A few sections are also on field roads and therefore a cross bike is suitable. Orientation route simple and suitable for everyone. Beware of villages where there is more traffic.

The country house in Vlčkovce is a unique place and we will learn a lot about the mill in this village. Retzer's water mill has been preserved and is located behind the church. At present, the mill operates the production and sale of compound feeds. From here we continue south. After the village we cross the highway and soon we come to the village Opoj. As there is no stream running through the village in the past, there was no mill here. It is the only village we will pass through and nothing, without a mill. We will come to Majcichov by road. At the cemetery, take the alley to the left and descend to the end of the alley. Here on the left is a former mill converted into a larger residential building. Water to the former mill was brought to it by a drive from Trnávka. From here we return to the main road and continue along it to the neighboring village of Hoste. At the end of it, we turn left to the mill. The mill has been an NKP since 1986. It is built on the right arm of Dudváh, where the river island ends. The watermill stood here 300 years ago, as evidenced by preserved documents. The mill also forms a complete area with adjoining outbuildings, which is almost undisturbed by newer interventions. The most valuable part of the water mill is its machinery and equipment. Exceptional is that it was rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century into a water turbine with cylindrical stools. A type of water chaplain turbine in a horizontal position is used here. The mill even produced electricity for a nearby mansion in Abraham. The neighboring Abraham only offers the building of the former mill in Abraham. It is located on the left at the bend in front of the cemetery. A mill drive from the Gidra stream, about 2 km long, was artificially dug to this mill. It was in operation until 1953 and then the mill was used as warehouses. From here we will move through the alleys to the upper end of the village and continue to Pusté Úľany. After about a kilometer there is a small airport on the right. Here we turn right and take a panel road to Pavlíce. In the village at the crossroads, turn right and a short distance behind the village on the right, where today there are a few family houses, in the past stood a mill powered by the waters of Gidra. We wouldn't get to where he stood, but the mill was here, as the old maps tell us. Continuing along the Ronava canal and then turning left we get to Voderád. On the way to Cífer in the village near Šťavička, where a local farmer offers his products, we turn left. We'll be at the park in a minute. Today, only a family house stands here. It has been a mill in the recent past. Smaller fragments of the mill can be found if we go around the house from the left, already in the park by the house from this side. The mill was also powered by Gidra's waters. Behind the other mills on Gidra we will continue upstream. We will return to the main road and continue to Slovenská Nová Ves. The mill at the upper end of the village on the left by the Gidra stream is one of many that grinded grain on the Gidra. In the past, plenty of water from the Little Carpathians, where the stream springs, provided suitable conditions for mills on its course. The mill operated until the middle of the 20th century. The mill in Slovenská Nová Ves has preserved its main building and the surroundings give our imagination a real idea of the mill. From the mill behind, we return to the main road and continue over the highway and immediately afterwards we go to the local part of Pác. At the beginning of it, we turn left to the swimming pool. We will cross Gidra and then to the left in front of the entrance to the swimming pool is the farm area, today fenced in which the former mill is located. We will see the old mill building itself if we go around the area to the left of the field from the southwest. Continuing after the next mill, we will pass next to the swimming pool, the area with horses and again over Gidra and behind it for a while to the left along a narrow sidewalk, past the treatment plant across the main road to Cífer. We will cross the village to the Jarná part. Here on its northern edge stands a former mill. The current owner is renovating the mill. After an interesting reconstruction, the mill in Jarná offers more than the previous mills. But it is also privately owned. The building and its surroundings are well preserved. The mill stood here in the 17th century. The last mill of our wanderer is in Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou. The road to it will be longer. From the mill in Jarná we come to the main road and then to the right along the cycle path. We turn left into the first street and through the streets with new buildings we come home to the part of Háj or Karlovo dvor as they call it. We will cross the former Maj Háj and continue undisturbed through the countryside between the fields. We come to a crossroads and turn right here until we come to a railway line. Not far to the right is an underpass, where we go under the track and then to the left we return to the asphalt road and it will take us to Hrnčiarovce. We walk straight through the village to its edge to the Parna stream on Mlynárská street. Down the street to the footbridge and through it we cross to the other side of the stream. The sidewalk will lead us to the mill soon. The first mention of the mill on the Parná river dates back to around 1550. The owner of the mill was the free royal city of Trnava, which leased the mill. Shortly after the First World War, Karol Pullmann's family bought the mill from the town. The mill in Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou is now a guest house and restaurant Na mlyne. The business of offering a preserved mill to the next level has been combined here.

You can also see the preserved technology in the interior of the mill. Maybe this is how one can revive and restore the past from the present. Here you can sit, refresh and get to know the past of the mill. We'll end here. If we want to return from here to Vlčkovce, then through Zeleneč, where there is also something left of the original mill and the enthusiasts made a rest zone with it, Pri mlyne. At least this is how the times of milling in Zelenč are commemorated.
