Embark with us on a full-day hiking through the balls of our mountains, which we will end with a hot reward.

Our starting point is White Water . The parking lot is almost full here at half past eight, so we recommend using the bus service with which you can get to Bílá voda and also then you do not have to deal with not exactly cheap parking. We will set off along the yellow tourist sign for about three hours of hiking through the forest along a very cold stream, which we sometimes bridge with beautiful footbridges. After climbing at the end of the forest, we head to the valley of Zelený ples, while we can enjoy the views of the Belianske Tatras. We continue along the stony road through the valley and then in the rhododendron we are gradually discovering the impressive peaks of the High Tatras.

After a while, a mountain hut appears, but the ducks at the Green Ball welcome us first. The cottage is drowned between the ends of Kežmarok Peak and the dominant Jastrabá tower. In addition to refreshments, it also offers accommodation to tourists, while it is open all year round. Zelené pleso (1551 m above sea level) is one of the most popular and most beautiful lakes in the High Tatras. It is mainly filled with the Medený waterfall, which has a beautiful view from the bench above the cottage.

After strengthening at the cottage and gaining new strength, we can continue along the highway to Skalnaté pleso. About 2 hours of hiking awaits us. After a while we see Malé Čierne pleso and Čierne pleso Kežmarok . After climbing the height difference of about five hundred meters, the panorama of the Tatras and the Green Valley is revealed to us, which really rightly bears this color in its name. On the left we will see the deep green massif of the Belianske Tatras, Kopské sedlo, below it the valley of white lakes and Veľké Biele pleso with Meďodol. To the right of the Frozen Valley, above them is the triangular wall of Kežmarok Peak, which by the way is the highest in the Tatras with its 900 meters. Further above the valley are the Baranie horns and finally the Black Shield. The motto of our portal “ Discover. Visit. Experience. “It captures exactly what no written text can describe in these views of the majesty of our mountains.

In the rocky strait behind the waterfall, the so-called corridors, familiar chains await us. We pass through the saddle below Svišťovka, which is named after a colony of marmots, which were abundant here. We have about an hour and a quarter to Rocky Ball. Behind Huncovská vyhlídka, however, we can already see the cable cars and the silver dome of the Astronomical Observatory at Skalnate pleso.

Skalnaté pleso is located at an altitude of 1,764 m above sea level. Here you can enjoy wonderful views of the surroundings. The smallest tourists will be pleased by "SVIŠTIA KRAJINKA" - an eco-mini-park with wooden statues of Tatra animals, a marmot cottage and climbing frames. For the elderly, there is an educational trail around the ball with interesting information and tasks that they can try to solve and find the lost constellation. There are basically two ways to get here from Tatranská Lomnica - by cable car or on foot. The cable car will take you directly to Skalnaté pleso in less than 13 minutes. Just for interest: the official length of the cable car Tatranská Lomnica - Skalnaté pleso (including the intermediate station Start) is 3682 m. Tatranská Lomnica - Lomnický štít cable car is a cable car in the High Tatras. It was built in the 1930s and was unique in the world (it held several world records). And Lomnický štít itself (2632 m) is one of the most famous and popular peaks in the High Tatras. From the gable triangular pyramid, which far exceeds the surroundings, it emits three ridges.

We will take the cable car to Tatranská Lomnica, where we will visit the Slnečný dom pension - a family-type company offering excellent home-cooked food and, last but not least, tapped Pilsen, which will be the best reward after a full-day hike. If you visit the guest house in the summer, we recommend tasting a fancy grilled piglet, and the greatest gourmets can also taste the homemade press, which is really famous. Bon appetite!
