What is our Rúška initiative for Slovakia about?

The GoSlovakia portal comes from the Rúška initiative for Slovakia. Information clearly and transparently in one place.

At GoSlovakia, we have been cooperating with towns and villages since its inception. Even in today's challenging times, we see daily that municipalities and cities take the initiative to encourage their citizens to get involved in the production of protective clothing. We also observe that someone has enough clever people, seamstresses, seamstresses - but they don't have fabric or rubber bands. Others have material and people are missing.

We want to be helpful and we quickly launched the initiative and developed technical support for it. Within it, a city or municipality that is interested can register and within its profile it can publish whether it provides a veil for its citizens. In the case of capacities, it can offer overproduction from its municipality and, as part of the Rúška initiative for Slovakia , mediate them for those who cannot secure them themselves.

There is still a shortage of drapes and we know that in our villages and towns there are many clever and dedicated people who know how to make drapes. We also know that many municipalities and cities are already communicating with their citizens and are trying to provide a veil in cooperation with the citizens. They are looking for material as who knows and can, they are looking for and moving instructions on how to sew a veil and the like.

We can do more together!
It is in our interest to encourage them in this activity and to bring systemic support, within which it will be possible to record who develops such an activity, whether it is possible to get a veil under this initiative so that they can then be distributed to those who can not provide them. otherwise.

Veil FREE. Municipalities can publish a call for citizens to participate in sewing on a voluntary basis. If, in solidarity, someone can sew a veil and share it, the community will pick it up, register it, and offer it to those who need it.

Veil FOR RETURN. The municipality may allocate certain resources to the purchase of drapes. They can buy these drapes for the price of 0.50 EUR / 1 drape and thus partially reimburse the costs associated with their production. We want to motivate those who would be willing to put their hand to the work, but can not afford to do it for free. The price of EUR 0.50 is not commercial and the purpose of this initiative is not to trade in drapes. If you are interested in these drapes, the municipality will offer them for the same price without any increase.

There is never enough quality information!
However, we will not just stay with veils. As part of the initiative, we also try to bring enough quality information related to the topic. Some may not receive enough attention. For example - how to wear the veil properly and how to handle it during its use, but me after its use. What are the most common mistakes when handling a veil? We also gradually bring you such information.

Self-government in the first line.
The municipality, which will participate in the system of registration and redistribution of drapes, approaches the intention that it is able to "collect" drapes from citizens, register them and publish them within the system. Excess drapes, which he no longer needs for his citizens, he can offer to other municipalities and cities, or other institutions.

Solidarity!
We know that the element of solidarity is very strong. We follow daily how many people help each other and we want to bring examples of good practice and experience through our portal. One of the things is volunteering within this initiative. The drapes, which will be delivered and handed over for FREE, will be registered and offered in this way to those who cannot provide them otherwise.

We thank you!
