The spread of bacterial and viral diseases must be prevented by washing and disinfection. By washing, you remove germs while disinfection kills them. You can use disinfectant wipes, chemical cleaners or their ecological substitutes for disinfection.

Chemical disinfectants

Always follow the instructions on the package when using disinfectants. Care should be taken to ensure proper dosing, to observe the recommended duration of action and always to use rubber gloves to protect your skin. Children and pets should not be allowed to approach freshly densified surfaces.

Ecological disinfectants

On hard surfaces, you can try a cleaning spray of water and 3% hydrogen peroxide. However, before use, we recommend testing the color stability of the surface you want to clean with it, as it may have a whitening effect. Leave on for a few minutes and then rinse with water. As a natural alternative, you can use a 1: 1 mixture of water and vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, salt or lemon juice. You will appreciate them especially in the household with small children.

Frequently used surfaces

Bacteria survive the longest on non-porous surfaces, so try to disinfect them as much and as often as possible. Disinfect the washbasin, shower, toilet, flush, soap dispenser, handles, switches, microwave, handles, remote control with products containing chlorine or alcohol. Always check the surface of the product to avoid damaging the device. Disinfectant wipes are also an alternative. If you want to smell a little more then, add a little tea tree oil to the hot water and wipe the space in the kitchen and bathroom.

Bed linen and towels

Wash the bed linen at at least 60 ° C or, if the material does not allow it, try adding a special laundry disinfectant to the laundry (found at the drugstore). In addition to bed linen, we recommend washing pillows and duvets. Towels should be changed regularly. Ideally, each member of the household has their own. Wash towels at 90 ° C. You can add a little vinegar to the washing machine, which acts as a natural disinfectant.

electronics

When cleaning your tablet, computer or mobile phone, you should avoid alcohol as you may damage the screen protector. Instead, turn off the device, lightly dampen the microfiber cloth with soap and water, wring it out thoroughly, and wash the screen.

Wash your hands thoroughly
Wash your hands thoroughly as recommended before proceeding with the disinfection process.

Do not rent a phone or use it unnecessarily on public transport
Do not lend your phone to anyone you are unsure of their health. Do not pull it out unnecessarily on public transport, you can use wireless headphones to receive calls. Many of us also routinely take the phone to the toilet or for lunch. If possible, leave your mobile in another location in these situations.
