Most Slovaks are in domestic quarantine and although it is a dream come true for many, many do not know what to do. If you are one of the bored, Netflix may be the solution for you. You will find a lot of new and old series there that are worth seeing. We will recommend you the best series that you can watch from the comfort of your couch on Netflix. These will not be any unknown titles, but rather series from the "You Must Watch" category, which is what you simply have to see if you are looking for quality content.

1. 13 Reasons Why (13 reasons why)

High school student Clay finds a tape with his name in front of the house. Along with her, there are others for which his classmate Hannah Baker recorded 13 reasons for which she decided to end her life. We have a nasty look at a typical American high school, where you are simply labeled by a nickname that has been dragging on to you for years. Where things happen that many close their eyes to. Violence, bullying, stalking or sexual harassment, the series does not avoid any of these difficult topics. You can currently find the 3rd series on netflix, the first of which is with Czech subtitles and you can also watch the 2nd and 3rd series with dubbing.

2. Peaky Blinders (Birmingham Ganges)
The historical series works with real events as well as with a lot of fiction. He represents sympathetic characters who stand on the side of the law, but also outside it - gangsters. Set in Britain, the series is at the forefront of the Shelby family and their clan, which is growing with each series, as is their illegal business. The head of the family is the charismatic Thomas Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. The series is full of interesting female characters, intrigues, actions and plot twists. If you like British, gangster stories, you won't be able to break away from Peaky Blinders. Currently you will find 5 series and each contains 6 parts.

3. Sex Education

The first series tells the story of Otis Milburn, a teenager who is obscure in his own sex life, despite, or probably precisely because, his mother is a sex therapist. She is too honest in all aspects of sexuality, which often stresses Otis and puts her in embarrassing (and funny) situations. After unintentionally helping a classmate with his sexual performance anxiety, Otis begins a sexual counseling business with his classmate Maeve - a beautiful but also problematic and unavailable classmate. Together, they help their classmates deal with their own sexual problems. There are currently 2 series on offer and each has 8 episodes.

4.Black Mirror
If you haven't seen this British series before, be sure to fix it. Each episode discusses one topic related to the impact of modern technology on our lives. While some episodes are more of a science fiction genre, others are very realistic and applicable to this day.
Each episode works like a separate story, so it doesn't matter which part you start with. The series even released a special part, which was released outside the official series, in which you can control the story. The episode thus has several storylines and also different endings.

5. Narcos

The name Pablo Escobar is notoriously known all over the world. The drug baron from Medellin, Colombia, has no parallel in history. With his huge drug cartel, spreading across America in the 1980s, he made tens of millions of dollars. The character of Pablo Escobar has become a kind of symbol for the futility of the fight against drugs and crime in America, the bribery and helplessness of the authorities against strong criminal groups. José Padilhu's series depicts the real events of dangerous and powerful criminals, which makes him extremely dramatic.

6. Stranger Things

The central theme is, of course, the sci-fi plot, but the main reason why this series is so popular is the atmosphere. So far, there are three series available that you will want to see in one shell. Stranger Things is a phenomenal series inspired by 80's pop culture. Movies like ET Alien, Star Wars, arcade games and period music from those times are a great dose of nostalgia for this series to watch. The first series of Stranger Things is about a boy named Will, who is kidnapped by a monster and finds himself in an environment reminiscent of Poltergeist. His mother and the sheriff are looking for him. In addition to them, his best friends, including friends with special telepathic abilities, will also start searching.

7. House of Cards

House of Cards is one of the first series produced by Netflix. We can say that even one of the best. The story is based on the ambition of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) to move from the position of senator of the US Congress to the most important post - the president of the United States. The series is rich in intrigues, plots, plot twists and surprising climaxes that will get you. Excellent acting performances and screenplay make the political series an unforgettable viewing experience.

8. Mindhunter

The main character of this series, Holden Ford, is inspired by a real man named John E. Douglas. He's a young FBI agent who finds a special interest in studying the psychology of serial killers. The series was based on behavioral science that examined the behavior of criminals from the 70's and 80's. A number of investigative procedures are based on just such studies. The story makes Ford's personality interesting, which itself begins to change under the influence of fierce research and an effort to take in the souls of criminals. An obsession develops in him that reflects the relationship between the criminal and the victim. Mindhunter will surprise you with elaborate details of the characters of the characters and their work, as well as unexpected twists and endings of individual stories.

9. The Witcher

So far, only the first series is available, which follows the stories from Andrzej Sapkowski's first short story book, but Netflix confirmed the filming of the sequel before its release. The character of The Sorcerer Geralt of Rivia was played by Henry Cavill, who we could also see in the role of Superman, and we can confirm that he played the main character perfectly. The Witcher or in Slovak The Sorcerer is a serial adaptation of a popular book and even more popular game series set in the fantasy world.

10. Dark

The German series Dark was another great success for Netflix. The remarkable mysterious horror project appealed to both audiences and critics. Without revealing anything significant, we can write that in the small town of Winden, mysterious events begin to take place after the local child is lost. This event is just one thread in a series of mysteries involving three generations of four families. The secrets come to the surface and there seems to be something much darker behind all the mysteries than any of the heroes could have imagined.
