Some authors state that Ján Hollý was appointed parish priest of Madunice on February 13, 1814. True, even according to the documents where we read Ján Hollé's handwriting, he was invested on February 3, 1814. In Madunice, the poet and priest Ján Hollý found a quiet and pleasant environment for creating his magnificent works, but also small poems to celebrate man, his life in the present and past and the inexhaustible regenerative power of nature. Here he invoked the muse and revived the famous and heroic deeds of our ancestors and transformed them to encourage the Slovak nation.
