Cycling tour of the MAS Plus 11 region for 2022. A large circuit behind the oldest sacral monuments with a length of 42 kilometers. Romanesque Rotunda of St. The cross in Križovany nad Dudváhom from the first half of the 13th century is the oldest preserved, which is far and wide. Of the more abundant group of Romanesque churches, however, only some have the opportunity to look up in their original medieval form, such as the Romanesque rotunda of the Exaltation of St. Cross in the village Križovany nad Dudváhom. The Parish Church together with the rotunda are National Cultural Monuments. Together they form a unique connected complex. The older church was demolished and the current one was sensitively added to the rotunda in 1938. After the tour, we will set out from here for other gems of ancient history. The next one will be the church in Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou, also from the beginning of the 13th century. But first we come to the outskirts of Vlčkoviec on the main road. We enter the village and take the first street on the right to get over the highway comfortably later. Next to the team and then straight northwest undisturbed by field road. We turn left to Zeleneč before the highway. In Zelenec, for comparison, there is the Parish Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary from the 1970s. The youngest church in our region. In order to avoid busy roads, we continue undisturbed along Školská Street around the Municipal Office, then Výhoň Street and the traffic on Bernoláková Street to its end. There, to the left and soon on a dirt road between the fields and through the beautiful landscape, undisturbed, still straight to Hrnčiarovce. Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou will take us back to ancient history. Parish Church of St. Martina is the historical pearl where we will stop. Today's NKP dates from the 14th century and was probably built in 1215 by King Andrew II of Hungary. It is an early Gothic single-nave church with a polygonal presbytery, a built-in western tower and a younger northern sacristy and a southern chapel. The current Gothic church was built using the masonry of an older Romanesque church. After a tour through Cintorínská, Facková and peripheral Poľná streets, we will get to the edge of the village on the way to Voderady. Here to the left and with it we continue soon next to the former team. After him, we turn right onto a field asphalt road. Nice open countryside comfortably between the fields. Later a short distance next to the water reservoir Ronava.a and then to the main road. Here we turn left and we can already see the nearby church on the outskirts of the former village of Pác. Today, Pác is a local part of Cífer. The current Gothic church was built using the masonry of an older Romanesque church. Pácky Church of St. Peter and Paul was built, either at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, or even earlier, in the last third of the 13th century. NKP is an area with a church, fortifications and a tombstone. The mystery is a stone block with the imprint of a large human foot. From here we will come to the edge of the neighboring village of Slovenská Nová Ves through the village and beyond. Here stands the Church of St. Joseph. This late Baroque church was built at the end of the 18th century. In front of him in the village we turn left and on a field road we continue west of the village to the more distant Majcichov. On the way, first next to the highway and then right next to the canal. Then left to the four-lane road. Here we turn right at the roundabout. The journey here is safe, as it is less frequented and short. At the crossroads turn left and here you can go down the sidewalk. Along the way around the industrial enterprises to their end. Here to the right and later again along a narrower field road further to Majcichov. At the end turn left again and we can already see the nearby village. In Majcichov we come to the Parish Church of All Saints. It was built in the 13th century in Romanesque style. The view of the church stands out from the east, from the side of the nearby former Great Moravian fort near Dudváh. The church tower is most likely older and dates from the 8th-9th centuries and served as a watchtower. There are triangular openings on it, which served as windows overlooking the fort. History is more than a thousand years back! From the church we then continue along the main road and after the second bend we turn left. As soon as we descend behind the village and already on the field road still straight east between the fields to the crossroads. Here, turn left in the northern direction to Vlčkovce. Next to the highway, then to the right above it and then we go down to Vlčkovice. Already at the beginning of the village, take the first street to the right and behind the village, again along the field asphalt road to the crossroads. Turning left, we will soon reach Križovian nad Dudváhom and the church where we started.
