Various archaeological finds indicate that different cultures have changed in the territory of our village. In our area was a Roman-barbarian seat from the period before the collapse of the Roman Empire at the end of the 4th century. In the neighborhood there are sites from the early Roman period. It is a burial ground from the middle of the 1st century in Malacky and a radiant burial ground from the 1st century in Lába. A settlement from the 2nd century was found in Gajary, where a tera sigillata (J.Eisner 1.c 225ˇ) was found next to barbaric pottery. In the position "On the top", west of the village, shards of brown vessels were found decorated with wavy lines and lines.

There are even older data about life in our territory from the time of the Celtic settlement, which was here 400 years BC. From Stupava to Plavecké Podhradie, the Celts had built circular forts, in which circular grain bins were built. Such circular pits-reservoirs were also discovered in our village while digging the foundations for family houses. This is confirmed by the excavations at Milan Živica about 150 meters southwest of the church. While digging the cellar, they found the remains of a warrior's grave with an armament-decorated saber in a case, dustbins and other objects, which were handed over to the Slovak National Museum in Bratislava. These were graves from the 7th to 9th centuries.

Even before the establishment of the Great Moravian Empire, around 831, the area along the Morava River was relatively densely populated. The establishment of settlements, their expansion or decline was influenced by frequent military incursions and raids. Defending and attacking troops drew from the supplies of the local population. Soldiers looted, set fire to houses and killed. After each depopulation, the landowners sought the opportunity to repopulate their estates.
