The oldest evidence of the settlement of Vrábeľ comes from the Neolithic period (6000 - 2000 BC). Evidence of this are discovered excavations in the locality of the Castle (Fidvár). Fidvár Castle had four corner bastions and a stone tower in the courtyard, from which signals were passed to the Nitra and Gýmeš castles during the Turkish invasions.
