The village of Štefanov lies at the junction of the Chvojnice uplands with the Borská lowland. According to the climatic-geographical division, it belongs to the warm climatic region. The surface of the village is hilly, only in the southern part, on the floodplain of the river Myjava is flat, with fluctuating altitude in the cadastre 170-300 m above sea level. The center of the village is 205 m above sea level. The Štefanovský stream flows through the village. The area of the cadastre is mostly agriculturally used, a small part of which is forested with agate forest.
