The origin and development of the village together with Sereďa was determined by the crossroads of two historical roads - the west-east from Moravia through Trnava to Esztergom, the second north-south led through the Váh valley. The strike of farmers from 1928 is known from history. On Easter Sunday in 1945, Front II swept through the village. World War II and marked it with considerable damage.
