The oldest and most valuable monument in the village of Križovany nad Dudváhom is the Romanesque rotunda, probably dating from the first half of the 13th century. The rotunda is a very ancient circular type of church, which has been preserved only in a few places in Slovakia. Of the more abundant group of Romanesque churches, however, only some of us have the opportunity to see them in their original medieval form.
