Priest Juraj Fándly returned to Dolian at the end of his life. Marked in poor health, he died on March 7, 1811, after a four-day illness. He is buried in the local cemetery. In the cemetery, the Society of St. Vojtech built a pseudo-classical monument made of limestone in 1950, supplemented by a wrought iron cross. Until then, J. Fándly's grave was not marked with any tombstone. They erected the monument only very roughly to the presumed location of the grave, and now it is not known whether they did not know the exact location or whether newer graves did not allow it.
