We use the latest technology in production. After gentle processing of the grapes, the musts undergo a controlled fermentation process. We store white wines in stainless steel tanks. Red in classic wooden or barrique barrels.
JURAJ ZÁPRAŽNÝ winery has won many awards. Every year, our wines are ranked among the hundred best Slovak wines in the National Wine Salon of the Slovak Republic. Our Pinot Gris 2012, a berry selection, won the title of Champion of the Wine Salon 2013, ie the highest rated wine in individual categories, among quiet white semi-dry and semi-sweet wines.
We regularly win gold and silver at world exhibitions. This year we had the greatest success at Vinalies Internationales Paris 2013. Gold was awarded to Tramín red 2012. Another six silver medals were won by Devín barik 2009, pink Cabernet Sauvignon ice wine 2011, pink Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, white Chardonnay 2012, white Pinot gris 2012 and white Pinot gris Rizling 2012. At the next world exhibition Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, our Chardonnay 2012 won a silver medal.
The pride of the JURAJ ZÁPRAŽNÝ Winery is also a truly unique, new cellar built from 300-year-old Pálfy bricks. We want to use the space of the unique cellar mainly for maturing red wine.
