On the slope of a wooded slope, the cave of the Virgin Mary of Lourdes is built of stone. It has been located here since 1914, before 1906, it was built next to the church. It was restored to its current form in 1928 by the local parish priest Adolf Slovák. To this day, the cave serves as a place of worship for a larger number of pilgrims at the time of ceremonial services and main pilgrimages.

Some time ago, there was a need to expand and repair the cave. The administration of the basilica has been thinking about this for a long time. Finally, the idea was born in the creative head of Ing. Arch. Ivan Jarina and according to his project, the Lourdes cave was reconstructed. The construction is currently being completed and in the spring, when there is no danger of frost, we will return all the tables that the believers have given there so far during its existence. They will be glued to the new concrete wall, where there will still be enough space for new boards.
