The chapel was built in 1964 despite the express prohibition of the then representatives of the Communist Party. Thanks to the efforts of the administrator of the Radošovce parish at the time, Ján Šimonovič, the residents, led by Jozef Kliment, built the chapel after all. The answer of the communists was an immediate punishment in the form of the transfer of priest Šimonovič from the parish.
