From history
The village began to emerge during the first land reform after the establishment of the 1st Czechoslovak Republic, in the vicinity of the former mayor of the Pálffy family. Originally, 42 families of colonists settled here, mostly from Moravia and the surroundings of Myjava. The former mayor was gradually demolished and today family houses stand in its place. In 1929, the colony had 138 inhabitants and began building its own school. In 1938, Hurbanova Ves was already an independent settlement with a loan cooperative and a cooperative distillery, and in 1956 it became an independent municipality. In the sixties of the 20th century, there was a prosperous Jednotné roľnícke družstvo in the village, which significantly contributed to the development of the village.
