The sunny lakes in Senec have an area of almost 120 ha and a depth of up to 12 meters. Today, the uniform and extensive water area originally consisted of 5 separate lakes. During the summer, it is the most visited recreation center in Slovakia, which is also sought after by foreign tourists. In addition to swimming and water sports, the lakes offer excellent opportunities for lovers of water sports, boating and fishing. The Sunny Lakes were created in 1845, when gravel was being dredged for the construction of the Bratislava - Galanta railway.
