From time immemorial, Topoľčany has been the center of trade and handicraft production, thanks in particular to the widely known market, where traders from near and far met. Today, they are the economic-commercial and cultural-social center of the district, which offers its visitors many attractions and tourist attractions.

If you want to see such unique things as the magnificent Art Nouveau town hall building from the early 20th century, which is one of the most impressive symbols of the local Art Nouveau boom, or more than three meters long upper jaw of the mastodont with preserved tusks, which is part of the permanent exhibition of the Tríbeč Museum. a visit to this picturesque town in the valley of the river Nitra.

The rich culture and art, which are an important part of everyday city life, will also provide pleasant experiences during your visit. You can see this, for example, when visiting the Gallery of the City of Topoľčany, or a tour of Nástupišť 1-12, which organizes many interesting exhibitions and music concerts, as well as various presentations of talented young people not only from Slovakia but also from abroad.

In addition to the flourishing culture and valuable museum exhibits, Topoľčany can also boast such architectural gems as the Art Nouveau Town Hall, the functionalist Wet Villa, Fink's Villa with characteristic elements of eclecticism, or Pálffy's Villa surrounded by an impressive park and garden. Despite the fact that none of the mentioned cultural monuments is open to the public, a tour of their exterior will certainly be appreciated by lovers of architecture. Let yourself be enchanted by other beautiful corners of the city during your visit. Stroll through the historic MR Štefánik Square and visit the Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the 13th century or stroll through the courtyard of the Art Nouveau town hall, or sit back and relax by the Žochár statue.
