However, the local area was inhabited much earlier. This is evidenced by seven cemeteries in the village. In the 16th and 17th centuries, Oravce belonged to Palucký and later to Radvanský. The inhabitants of Oraviec were mainly farmers and cattle breeders.
In the 18th to 19th centuries, they traded in grain and many worked as seasonal workers. Today there are less than 200 inhabitants. As administrative patriots, they participate in the preparation of local events. Many are given a calendar (Month of Respect for the Elder, MDD, St. Nicholas), but often the locals return to the natives who laid down their lives in both wars. One of the natural attractions of the area is the Orava spring, which can be considered a cave cavity. It is a low corridor with a length of about 10 meters, but its further research is complicated by a river siphon.
