It has a specific dialect, which differs significantly from neighboring municipalities. It was named after the medieval fortifications - fortifications. The patron saint of the village and the local Roman Catholic church is St. Martin. There are organizations: wind music, football players, firefighters, JDS, hunters, landowners. The biggest events include: Vrátnofest - a country festival, a wind music show and a meeting of jubilees, natives and pensioners.
