Our dream was the production of terroir wine and so our efforts led to the establishment of the Molnár and Molnár wineries in 2007.
We grow grapes in Strekov on the Marianka Máriavolgy hunt. The clayey to aluminous-sandstone soil of this area guarantees excellent conditions for vine growth. On an area of 1 hectare there are 3200 pieces of vines planted 1.5 m x 0.8 m. When choosing the types of grapes, our choice fell on typical varieties and varieties from the Carpathian Basin Furmint, Rizling vlašský, Tramín červený and Frankovka modrá. We treat the vine exclusively with ecological methods without the use of herbicides and insecticides. We will not even reach for chemicals that would damage the quality and uniqueness of the soil and vineyard. Only in this way can we get the real and characteristic tastes of Strekov, ie terroir wines. Ján and Szabolcs Molnár.
