Archeopark Living archeology in the area of the manor provides a unique knowledge of ancient history - an original form of personal experience. The seven dwellings represent five periods from prehistory to the early Middle Ages (Paleolithic, Neolithic, Late Iron Age, Late Bronze Age and Early Middle Ages), so you will walk around the archeopark about 30,000 years in time.
According to a find from Tibava, the Paleolithic building is a cottage from the Late Stone Age, a replica of a find from Košice, a dwelling from the Late Bronze Age - one from Sedlísk-Podčičva and the other, which copies the floor plan of a house from Nižný Hrušov. The Celtic building has a model in the locality of Zemplín from the Late Iron Age and the Slavic log house is built according to the partially captured floor plan of the building from Skrabský. The residential log building with a shingled roof from the early Middle Ages is again built according to a find from Vlač.
In the area you will also find production shelters, metalwork from the Bronze Age, pottery from the La Tène period and kitchen from the early Middle Ages.
Do you know how a Paleolithic knife cuts? Do you know what a heavy Neolithic ax is? Do you think you can keep the Bronze Age shield? Do you grind flour on a Celtic grinder? Do you create tones on musical instruments?
The expression is forbidden in the archeopark: do not touch! On the contrary, it is an interactive space for the visitor's creativity - so that he takes away the experience of touching the past.
In the archeopark, especially during the summer holidays, the public awaits many events, during which visitors can try different crafts and tastes of times long past.
