On the way to the church is a stone cross with a torso of the Latin chronogram, from which the name Batthyányi can be read. From 1765 to 1833, the Batthyányi family was the co-owner of the manor to which the village belonged (Adam Batthyány 1704-1782, son of František Adam 1737-1821). The cross was built in front of a hospital, which may have been built in the late 18th or early 19th century and which was demolished after 1956. The date of the cross is unknown.

In the region we know three crosses with a known date of origin and a similar type of pedestal (Láb 1853, Marianka 1856, Kuklov 1840). We could then date the cross in Lakšárská Nová Ves to the middle of the 19th century.
