The quarry in the Trianova valley was opened in the 1960s, and since 1970 the quarry has been managed by the Bratislava Slovak Foundation for Fine Arts. The Geological Survey of Spišská Nová Ves carried out the exploration work for decorative stone here, and based on the results of the exploration work, a trial opening of the decorative stone deposit was made at this location in 1981. Quarry Chtelnica - Trianova

The Slovak stone industry did not continue mining, and the quarry remained under the management of the Slovak Fund of Fine Arts until 1991, when, after more than twenty years of mining, the Slovak Fund of Fine Arts, due to its demise, ended mining. Currently, the quarry is registered at the Regional Mining Office in Bratislava as a protected deposit area.

The quarry is located approximately 8 km north of the village, northeast of the spring Výtek (Výtok) and about 300 m NE of the Dolina cottage base on the slope of the Triano valley.
