The originally single-nave church was rebuilt into a three-nave basilica in the late Gothic period. The church burned down several times, was rebuilt and repaired. In addition to the main altar, there are also 9 altars, 6 of which belong to the guild. The original building is complemented by a massive tower that offers a view of Skalica and its surroundings.
