The chapel was built in Ružová dolina by a burgher from Trnava and Senator Michal Pontel with his wife Juliana, born Pexaová. The chapel was completed on July 8, 1729. The chapel was taken over by the Jesuits in 1906 and in 1929 it was thoroughly renovated and modified, with partial changes. Since 1991, Holy Masses have been celebrated twice a year, always on the feast of St. Urban and the Visitation of the Virgin Mary. In 2003, the chapel was renovated. In the spring of 2011, the tower of the chapel was covered with copper plate.
