The village of Kravany lies below the northern slopes of Kráľova hole at the bottom of the Hornád basin between the Low and High Tatras with an altitude of 710 m above sea level with prevailing mountain climatic conditions. It lies between the villages of Spišské Bystré and Vikartovce. It is separated from the Tatra basin by the Goat Backs massif. Near the village there are areas of three national parks - Low Tatras, High Tatras and Slovak Paradise.
