"Failure" at school
I started going on brigades to wineries or to various professional tastings where I helped as a waiter. I liked this experience because it was different from the theory from school. I learned a lot in a Pezinok wine family, where, in addition to working in vineyards, I could also look into the production of sparkling wines produced by the classic method. Those were nice times. I worked for them until the end of my university studies. Although this study ended in failure after three years, this negative experience helped me to work harder on myself.
Thanks to my wife Marcelka, I made the first two demijohns of the green silvan. Surprisingly, it was a nice wine for the first time and I managed to sell most of it without much effort. This experience motivated me and I have been cultivating half a hectare of vineyards for a year, and since I do not come from a family that could help me financially, nor am I a suitable type in this country to receive any subsidies, I took a loan . I bought the basic, necessary things for the cellar and made the first official year under the Farebného vinárstva brand. The name was primarily derived from my surname Farbula. Having met with colorful nicknames my whole life, it seemed like a great idea. The important thing was also that I did not want the winery to be called classically by a surname and to arouse people's curiosity when heard, whether positive or negative. Wine is varied in all our senses, whether in color, aroma or taste. Since 2012, we have been trying to bring good wines to the world, which should bring joy and good mood.
After a successful first year, I invested in the modernization of production and the quality of wines has increased again. When the opportunity arose to open a small wine bar in the center of Pezinok, I decided from second to second and today it is already a year since the opening. The U vínnej mušky winery works with an offer of small, local winemakers, and the claim that a purely winery with rather unknown winemakers does not have a great chance in the city has not been confirmed. On the contrary… The pleasant atmosphere and romance of small wineries, attracts people - week after week - to our premises. Thanks to our wine bar, with which we still have big plans for the near future, this year we also started organizing wine events. We are mainly interested in making the city more attractive, local winemakers and their wines within the city. From May to September, a small wine event in the center of Pezinok called Malá vínna ulička was repeated cyclically, and at the end of June we organized the wine event Vína na mlyne. My personal goals are big. I take these events as a great success and we plan to repeat them this year as well.
I want the curve of our growth to continue as it has so far, and thanks to my smallness to drink more and more good wine :)
Colorful winemaking, but it's not just about me anymore. There is a team of people working around him that I can count on and, most importantly, they also work around vineyards or wine with heart and determination. And that's how people around us say to feel from it all :)
