Cajlans initially went to the Church of St. Joseph in the defunct village of Zumberg In 1740, they built their own church and that was the reason for the later demolition of the Zumberg church in 1824. The interior of this Zumberg church was also given to the new church on Cajla. Initially, the new Ceylan Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross consisted of only one small nave with a sanctuary. In the 19th century, they built a tower. Today we can find three bells in it,
