In 2000, the European Commission in Brussels approved 1.8 million under the PHARE program. euros for the construction of the power plant. The preparations lasted almost 2 years. The wind power plant literally became an attraction right from the start. As soon as construction began and the first mast rose above the village, hundreds of tourists began to flow to Rozbehy.

The main parts of the power plant are the propeller, the main shaft, the gearbox, the small generator, the large generator, the equipment for turning the power plant. The whole system is able to rotate in a range of 360 degrees in any direction according to the wind. In weaker winds, a small generator with an output of 200 kW is switched on. Propeller turns are 19.8 per min. A large generator works in winds above 8 m / s.

Propeller turns are 25.9 per min. VG power is 660 kW.

Generator speeds are: VG - 1500 rpm, MG 1200 rpm.

The power plant begins to produce electricity at a wind speed of 4 m / s, maximum power reaches from 14 m / s. The power plant stops on its own at a wind speed of 25 m / s. VE works with 50Hz and 690V. Next to each power plant is an Alston transformer made in Belgium.

The wind farm is fully automated, all data is collected by a small monitor installed in each turbine.

For comparison, we state that the power plant's output would be sufficient for a municipality with about 2,500 inhabitants.

The energy travels to the public 22 kV network more than 3 km away from the power plant.

A few interesting things

  • wind power plant was the largest investment project in Slovakia from the PHARE program in 2000
  • the entire VE transport was provided by 27 trucks
  • 50 concrete mixers and 9 tons of reinforcing steel were placed in one base under the turbine
  • the weight of the VE sheet is 586 kg
  • there is 180 l of oil in the gearbox
  • the highest point of the power plant is 100 m above the ground
  • the highest point of the wind farm is 568.67 meters above sea level
