The building is a good example of preserved traditional rural architecture of the Lesser Carpathians region. It is a two-winged, ground-floor type house with a U-shaped floor plan and a passage to the courtyard. It originally served as a residential house with outbuildings in the back for pet breeding. The building is built of unfired brick and stone and has preserved the original truss. The current owner restored the building and adapted it to a small confectionery and wine tasting, with the possibility of organizing social events and celebrations.

The renovation took place in order to preserve the authenticity of the building and the presentation of the construction and material solution for visitors. The adaptation of the building and the new extensions were designed in order to meet the hygienic requirements of the new function. The new parts are proportionally and materially connected to the original object. Hoštacká viecha is an interesting example of the preservation and use of the original folk architecture, which is slowly disappearing from the villages of the Malokarpattia region.

The restoration of Hoštacká viecha has been carried out by its owners on their own during the last three years. The building was uninhabited and unused for a long time before the start of the renovation, which was reflected in the deterioration of its construction and technical condition. The main problem was the wetting of the masonry caused by ground moisture and rainwater. To eliminate these problems, drainage was carried out around the outer perimeter of the building and in some rooms. Lime plasters in exteriors and interiors were made with a new traditional technology so that the authentic appearance of the wall surfaces is preserved. The roof structure and roofing were preserved and repaired only to the extent necessary. Likewise, the components of the building interior were preserved and repaired, those that did not need to be replaced with new ones for functional and operational reasons. Part of the building in the yard, where the original kitchen was, was renovated, and a slightly larger kitchen was built in its place to meet current hygiene requirements. A new building was also built in the back of the plot where the sanitary facilities are located. At the end of the plot is a newly built covered outdoor seating area with a bread oven, expanding the space for visitors to Hoštacká viecha.
