History
The first written mention of the church built in honor of St. Peter and St. Paul dates from 1253. The two-towered Romanesque church was built in the middle of the 13th century, probably on the site of the previous church, as during reconstruction works fragments of older foundations were found. The church has retained its original Romanesque appearance - a single-nave church with a polygonal sanctuary on the east side and two rectangular towers on the west side - even during the later Gothic reconstruction.
