A memorial and military cemetery of Soviet soldiers who died in the spring of 1945 during World War II. of World War II in battles with German Nazi troops during the liberation of Bratislava and Western Slovakia. The central part of the monument is a ceremonial room, which includes a 37 m high monument in the shape of an obelisk. At its top is a 7-meter-high statue of a Soviet soldier raising a flag, crushing a swastika as a sign of victory over fascism, by the Slovak sculptor Alexander Trizuljak.

To the right of the hall is the three-figure sculpture After the Battle by Ján Kulich, to the left another three-figure sculpture Above the grave by Tibor Bártfay. On the doors of the hall are bronze reliefs by Rudolf Pribiš. In front of the graves are two two-figure sculptures of Girls with Ribbons by Ján Kostka. The entrance area in front of the stairs to the area is decorated with a stone relief of the Pledge of Allegiance by Ladislav Snopek. The city of Bratislava had an Orthodox cross made, which was consecrated by Orthodox clergy in Slavín on May 14, 2006. The 5-meter high cross was made from black pine wood brought from Russia according to the design of architect Klement Trizuljak.
