The individual thematic areas of the educational cycling trail mainly contain the following information:
A.) History and monuments (cultural, historical and technical monuments) of the village of Pernek -
e.g.: basic historical knowledge and information about the village of Pernek, important natives and
personalities of Slovakia who worked here, the local church, the local mill, the location
of the early medieval castle - "Zámčisko", the period of the Second World War and monuments
from this time.
B.) Geology, fauna and flora of the vicinity of the village of Pernek - e.g.: geological structure of the cadastre
the village and its surroundings, natural monuments, morphology of the Little Carpathian Mountains, flora
and the fauna of the surrounding area.
C.) History of mining in the vicinity of the village of Pernek - eg: history of mining and mining methods
minerals, technical and mining monuments, important minerals and minerals, negative
the effects of mining activity on the surroundings of the village, etc.
The route of the cycling educational trail itself is marked in the terrain
system of cycling markings according to standard STN 01 8028 and its difficulty
will be distinguished by color marking in accordance with the above standard. Route
educational cycling trail is circular and starts and ends at
to the local church - parking lot no. 1, alternatively at parking lot no. 2 above the village.
It is guided along the body of the former mining narrow-gauge railway (note yellow
tourist sign). Back to the village, the route of the educational cycling tour
the trail returns through the "Kostolné vrch" forest massif with the possibility of shortening it
take the route at the elevation "Zámčisko" towards the location "Starý Lom" or alternatively
asphalt road leading through Kostolná dolina.
The total length of the educational cycling trail is approx. 9 km.
Parking for visitors' cars is provided at the local church
i.e. parking lot No. 1 and the local school. Some visitors will be able to park
also in the prepared parking lot at the end of the village in the direction of Baba
i.e. parking lot 2.
