Skalnatá is a well-known seven hundred (704 masl) mountain in the main ridge of the Small Carpathians. It is characterized by a significant rise on its eastern slope, beautiful, almost circular views and a prominent, lone tree just below the summit. The hike to the top of Skalnata is not difficult. The only more difficult section is the last short but steep section of the ascent to the top. We can therefore recommend the trip to less fit tourists, even to families with smaller children. If you go to Skalnatá from Zochová chata, this is the shortest option.
