The city of Senica managed to save and reconstruct one of the few preserved historical buildings in Senica, the summer house of the large landowner Arpád Vagyon, which later served as a falconry. The focus of the museum is the original social hall and gymnasium. In this space, there is an exposition dedicated to the theme of the medieval trade route of the Czech Republic, on which Senica was one of the stations. The basement of the building is devoted to archeology and archaeological finds in the city, while in the attic under the tower there is a large-scale model of the city from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The effort of the City of Senica was to create a modern exposition with all technological conveniences, which will attract all generations, but especially young people, with its interactivity. It is a contact museum, where the visitor is not just a passive listener, but is directly involved in acquiring information. The visitor has the object in front of him in real life, but at the same time, with the help of interactive projections that respond to movement, the 3D model of the exhibit can be rotated and viewed from all sides. The Senica Municipal Museum is an exceptional and courageous project, the likes of which are not many among museums in Slovakia.
