How to paint lexan with ABSIMA colors?
Features

Tip: Always paint the bodies from the inside. For a brilliant result, overpaint neon colors and effect colors with white.
Instructions
Cut out the body and sand the trimmed edges. Many car bodies have a transparent protective film on the outside. Remove this protective film only after the paint has dried! Mask all areas that are not to be painted with masking foil or masking tape. Paint the dark colors first, then the light colors so that the dark colors do not bleed through the light colors. Before painting, always check that the surfaces are dry and free of grease and dust!
Follow these steps for best results
Shake the container vigorously for about 2 minutes before use. The stirring ball inside the spray can agitate the settled particles and mix the contents. Spray from a distance of approx. 20 to 30 cm. While spraying, slide the can evenly over the edge (make sure you have a suitable surface!). Absima color coverage varies from color to color. Always spray only a very thin layer to prevent paint bleeding. The final result is achieved after at least 2 to 3 layers. Wait about 5 minutes before applying another layer. Never spray just one thick coat! Allow the paint to dry for 5 minutes before removing the masking film/tape and applying another coat. After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 seconds to clear the paint residue from the spray nozzle.
Window tinting
You can use Smoke spray paint (item no. 3500020) to tint the glasses. Allow the entire painted body to dry for 10 minutes before painting the windows. Spray the transparent paint on the bodywork from a distance of approx. 30 to 40 cm. Make sure you only apply a very thin coat of paint as running around the windows can easily ruin the overall look of an otherwise nicely painted body!
Special info for bright colors
Fluorescent colors probably do not cover as well as regular colors. When spraying, it is essential to ensure that only very thin layers are applied. Always process at temperatures above 15°C. Spray from a distance of +/-15/20 cm. Let the paint dry for 30 minutes and base the fluorescent paint with white paint (item no. 3500001). This is the only way to achieve the desired fluorescent effect!
Special instructions for glitter and metallic colors
These colors don't cover (glitter) or cover well (metallic)! Glitter paints are structured so that they must be sprayed on the bodywork first. With these paints it is especially important to ensure that only very thin layers are applied! These colors are just fancy particles that are sprayed on the body. Let the applied glitter dry for about 10 minutes and then cover it with a base color of your choice (TIP: metallic colors can easily be covered with the same standard shade).
Note for Ice/Candy colors
These colors do not cover well. The effect of the candy/ice depends on how carefully you follow the instructions! Recommended working temperature: +/- 20°C. Spray very thin, even layers (+/-15 cm) on the body about 2 minutes apart for best results. Allow the applied Ice/Candylack to dry for about 10 minutes and then cover it with the base color of your choice (TIP: use a light base color for lighter final results, use a darker base color for darker final results).
