Funeral chapel of the Esterházy family

An interesting part of the old cemetery on Bratislavská Street is the neo-Gothic funeral chapel of the Esterházy family.

It was built in 1871 and the family of Jozef Esterházy is buried in it, who, as the last of this important family, lived in the neo-Gothic manor house in Galanta. The funeral chapel was restored in 1998. Its interior is decorated with an oil painting called "Crucifixion" as old as the chapel itself and stone Baroque sculptures of St. Peter and St. Paul from 1741.
